Free Trieste joins the legal action on taxation

of the I.P.R. F.T.T. and organizes further interventionses

Trieste, June 19th, 2017. – The Free Trieste Movemen thas lodged a statement of intervention at the Court of Trieste, joining legal action No. 1757-2017 RG opened on May 29th, 2017 by the International Provisional Representative of the Free Territory of Trieste – I.P.R. F.T.T. against the Italian Government, its Ministry of Finances, its Fiscal Agencies (Revenues, State Property, Customs, Monopolies) and the INPS (Italian National Institute of Social Insurance) to ascertain which taxes can be established and collected in Trieste by the Italian administration, requesting to suspend all enforced recoveries as a precautionary measure during this verification (LINK).

As known, the I.P.R. F.T.T. has summoned before Court the Italian authorities claiming that they are ruining the administered Free Territory, its citizens, and its enterprises by illegally forcing on them the burden of the taxes of the Italian State, which are twice to trice those compatible with the legal system of the Free Territory of Trieste, which does also enjoy the regime of international Free Port and is entitled to become an independent financial center.

The Free Trieste Movement is the firstsubject to join the lawsuit, strong with the support of its members (which are more than the local supporters of Italian parties) and of the over 20,000 signatures of citizens that it has already collected for the affirmation of the rights of the present-day Free Territory of Trieste. The Movement is now taking care of further interventions by the many citizens and other legal persons that are willing to defend themselves from the disputed Italian taxes.

The Free Trieste Movement is now taking care to collect further adhesions to this legal action.
